PerfTechPro zAnalytics ® Version 3.2 – z/OS Transaction Reporting Tool

PHOENIX, March 11, 2019— A new release of PerfTechPro zAnalytics®, an IT capacity and performance management tool designed specifically for 21st Century data centers and cost-conscious IT management professionals, was introduced today. PerfTechPro zAnalytics is a Windows-based software providing automated data collection, analysis, reporting and simulation modeling.

PerfTechPro zAnalytics enables precise measurement and analysis of resource usage, giving IT management professionals the ability to measure and manage the efficiency and effectiveness of their enterprise servers.

PerfTechPro zAnalytics Version 3.2 introduces Transaction Reporting Tool for IBM’s System Z family of processors.

PerfTechPro zAnalytics was introduced by company founders William Shelden, PhD, and William Hart. Both are former IBM staffers with long-time experience in mainframe capacity and performance issues and solutions.

Introducing the new version, Hart said PerfTechPro zAnalytics’ affordability and intuitive interface belie its sophistication. “PerfTechPro zAnalytics is designed to deliver sophisticated, affordable, easy-to-use solutions for IT management professionals looking for fast, insightful help without high-cost, complex and time-consuming licensing requirements.”

Shelden noted that historically, processing massive volumes (often hundreds of millions or more) of SMF 110 records (for CICS) and SMF 101 records (for DB2) has typically been a very CPU-intensive process.

(WLM) support for Mobile Workload Pricing (MWP) has provided the tracking of CPU consumption for any transaction. IBM Distinguished Engineer Kathy Walsh said she considered this to be one of the most exciting new capabilities to come along in some time.
